Claire has just returned from the most fabulous sailing with Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, and she couldn’t wait to share it with you all!
“We spent time exploring the Hamburg Christmas Markets — From twinkling lights and handcrafted decorations to the smell of gingerbread and mulled wine drifting through the air… it was the perfect way to begin the festive season. ![]()

One of the things we loved most about travelling with Fred Olsen is how effortless everything feels. From handing over your bags at the terminal or in the car park, you arrive relaxed. Step straight into the heart of the city, and suddenly you’re wandering between cosy chalets, sipping something warm, and soaking up that true German Christmas charm.
If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing a traditional European Christmas market — without the stress of airports or rushing around — this kind of sailing is such a beautiful way to do it. ![]()
