Wendy Haines, a highly experienced independent travel agent, is making waves in the travel industry with her bespoke travel experiences and exclusive Wendy’s Wanderers group trips. With over 30 years of expertise, Wendy has built a thriving business from her home and her charming ‘holiday hut’ at The Craythorne Courtyard in Stretton. Her passion for curating unforgettable travel experiences has made her a trusted name in the industry.
A standout feature of Wendy’s business is Wendy’s Wanderers, a collection of exclusive, curated group tours designed specifically for solo female travellers. These journeys have taken adventurous women to awe inspiring destinations such as Japan, Italy, Kenya, and Croatia. What makes these trips even more special is that Wendy personally escorts each group, ensuring that every traveller feels safe, inspired, and well cared for throughout the experience. Due to their immense popularity, Wendy’s Wanderers trips are fully booked for the next two years.
Most recently, Wendy and her Wanderers embarked on a breathtaking adventure to Kenya, combining thrilling safari experiences with relaxation on pristine beaches. During their time in Tsavo National Park, the group had the unique opportunity to participate in a vital conservation effort. Planting trees as part of a large scale reforestation project. The initiative, aiming to restore a lost forest, has already planted 320,000 trees, with a goal of reaching 400,000 by next year. Each traveller planted an Acacia Melifera tree, complete with a GPS tag, allowing them to track its growth and witness their personal legacy in Kenya’s ecosystem.
Reflecting on the experience, Wendy shared:
“We all loved planting the trees, it was an unexpected yet deeply meaningful experience. Many of the women said it was one of the highlights of the trip, knowing they left a lasting, positive impact on the environment. It’s incredibly special to be part of something that will hopefully last forever.”
The Wendy’s Wanderers community continues to flourish, with over 800 women involved and 15 trips planned for the year ahead. Pre-trip meet-ups allow travellers to get to know each other before their adventures, fostering a sense of camaraderie and connection.
The impact of Wendy’s Wanderers is best summed up by the glowing testimonials from recent travellers:
