A weekend break in Yorkshire

I have just spent a wonderful weekend in Marrick, Yorkshire. I stayed in a gorgeous cottage with log fire and luxurious bath. The cottage sleeps 2 and a dog is allowed. The cottage is furnished beautifully and the owners who live next door are so friendly .Lovely flowers and welcome gifts on arrival were very thoughtful touches. We were there for the Scott Trial on Saturday, an extremely tough annual event( spectators not participants !)
There are lots of walks in the area, lovely pubs and stunning scenery, the highlight was star gazing on Sunday evening- the skies are so dark, we saw the meteor showers it was truly awesome.
We visited the highest single drop waterfall in England, Wensleydale cheese factory,Black Sheep brewery, Theakstons Brewery, and a traditional rope maker. A weekend isn’t long enough, we can’t wait to go back
